PIEDMONT — Temporary use restrictions at Linda Beach playfield will now become permanent with the approval of an amended ordinance by the City Council at its March six meeting.
Sun use will continue to be allowed by permit for youth sports groups and Recreation Department activities, with a minimum of 4 hrs. of not scheduled use each weekend to allow for family recreational time and play.
Now a limited time will be allowed for not scheduled use. “Enforcement was problematic. This is a suitable idea,” Vice Mayor Bob McBain said.
“Let’s move on ninety percent of the codes,” McBain said.
